I must at all times accept the capabilities and instruction of my "other-self" in which I am completely in charge of.  I know that one entity of my being responds to fear, that was 2016.  My 2017 self is driven and responds to faith and only faith.  I've lived like a slave in 2016 although I'e been free since I accepted that I AM free.

Now I know my other-self only knows freedom and knows no fears, lack, or limitations.  This entitiy doesn't know the word or meaning of impossible.  However, I know my other-self is not dead but just not king anymore.

We have only a few days left in this year to go. Before we commit to anything in 2017 though, remember 2016 is not said and done yet right? 1.  PTSD "Past, Present Trauma Strategically designed to Distract" - you from your destiny.

One Example:  You are a man who has had several wives or several baby mothers.  Yet, you have become enlightened and have decided to travel a different path.  A path which soothes your soul instead of pleasing your flesh.  However, your mind or other people are often bringing up your past transgressions that often causes you to shun and hide your LIGHT.


2.  Spiritual Anorexia - Starving oneself of all things you may consider worldly which are ultimately essential physically, mentally, emotionally and/or spiritually.

One Example:  You realize you are a spiritual being living in a physical world.  But because of fear, you have abandoned all things you consider worldly.  Often times you reject these things because you fear you'll find yourself in pain once again.  People with Spiritual Anorexia most likely were hurt very deeply and hide behind their spirituality (religion).


3.  Spiritual Bulimia - Over indulgence and then A-"VOID"-ance.


One Example:  You use spirituality as drug addicts use drugs.  Other matters fall by the wayside and often times God is used to justify the behavior.  I've met a couple of married women in my life who live in there place of worship.  The husbands are not as charismatic or the husbands do not attend at all.  Therefore, the husband/family is neglected and/or rejected.


4.  Spiritual Addiction - Over indulgence, Obsession, Avoidance, Imbalance of the spiritual appetite.

I was conceived 43 years ago, by two broken people.  They were the cutest little couple though. The sad thing is, regardless of how cute they were or how loving they tried to be, they were broken.  They were looking for love and satisfaction, just like many of us today.  My mother came from the south, and my father, from the north.  My mom or dad had no real concept of love.  If either had known, they would have never attracted the other.  None the less, our lives became the result of their unrecognizable ignorance.  In spite of their ignorance, God cradled us in His loving arms constantly.  I guess the old saying, “God takes care of fools and babies”, is true.

My father was a habitual drug user even before I came into the world and many years after.  My parents' many physical fights were the result of my father not being able to capture the feeling of the love he longed for.  He would eventually find that feeling again and again, outside of us, via a "syringe".  This friend would temporarily mask my father's need for love, guilt, pain, unresolved manhood issues and confusion.  In spite of his behavior though, I refuse to judge the man who contributed to the instability of my first relationship with a man.  I refuse to judge the man that caused me to cry myself to sleep at night when he did not come back to us whole, did not come back to me for weeks, months and then years.  I refuse to judge the man that would kiss me and then leave us without a quarter to our name or any food to put in our stomachs.  I will not judge him.  If he had known it would mark me for the rest of my life, he probably would have chosen a different course. If he had known I loved him more than any artificial thing could ever love him, he probably would have chosen my love over heroin.  If he had known the men I let in my life would not or could not understand my need for my father's love, he would have tried harder to gain clarity of the source of his pain.  He never knew his sins would fall so heavily on the seeds he planted on earth.  If he had, I am sure he would have done things differently.  Therefore, I refuse to judge him even now in his death.  Had I not found something worthwhile to lean on, I might have taken on the same behavior.  

          My mother, bless her heart, ran from pillar to post trying to find whatever “love, peace and/or happiness” she could.  She did not know her worth.  My mother grew up abandoned by her mother and practically alienated from her father, although he lived in the same house.  My grandfather allegedly abused my grandmother on a regular basis.  Grandmother left him, abandoned her three little girls, and boarded a bus to Pennsylvania to return only once.  When she returned she was met by a sheriff who told her that she was unfit and to never ever come back for her children. My mother and her two sisters were given to my grandfather’s mother.

          Although my mother was only six months at the time, the pain of losing her mother and not really having a father, prepared her for a life where she searched for both in many ways than one.  My mother’s pain was so great; she could not or chose not to remember she was indeed battle scarred free.  Through her turmoil, she did eventually remember the God her Grandmother called on in times of need though.   With that remembrance, she rediscovered God's gracious love for herself many years later.  Thank God for my mother.  Had she not explored her “inner self”, I would not be half the woman I am today. I realize my parents were both searching for God in tangible things.  They both wanted to be loved, which seemed often times at any cost. They wanted to be free.  They too, wanted the American Dream.  They just did not know quite how to gain any of it at the time. 

          Much of my childhood was spent wondering when I’d be old enough to go on my own.  It wouldn’t be such a great leap because most of the time I felt on my own.  My dad was never around, or maybe he was but I blocked that out as well.  Maybe because it is too painful to remember.  The shouting…the screaming…the cursing, would sometimes last forever.  I remember one particular instance when my dad had gotten a beer out of the refrigerator.  He sat down across the room from where my mom and I sat.  She was combing my hair and mumbling something.  Before I knew it, he threw the unopened beer can across the room at my mom and hit her directly in the mouth.  She had learned long ago not to cry.  So all I remember her saying was, “You didn’t have to do that.”  That’s all I remember about that day.  Trust me, there were many more things he did that I didn’t see but heard about.  As I put two and two together, many fragments of my imagination are whole now.  What I couldn’t make since of back then, I’ve been given the missing pieces to truly understand what had been happening while my brother and I slept.

          I don’t know who my father would have been to us if he had not been a drug user.  I convinced myself that we would have had a wonderful life because he was one of the smartest, most beautiful men I have ever met.  Unfortunately, he died way too soon to learn his true greatness. 

          Time passed as it always does.  My mom grew younger, as she always said (or says), and definitely a whole lot wiser.  She realized in order to survive mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically, she had to hold on to the sanity that was left, grab us (my brother and I) and run from my father and his world fast.  With that said, we left my father in Connecticut and quickly headed for Alabama.  My mom saved our lives.

4.  Seasons Change and So Do WeCourse Description:  Assist women with transformation.  The concept is built on the Holmes-Rahe Stress Inventory’s Social Readjustment Rating Scale which rates a person’s likelihood of future illness based on her stress level. The scale is a list of common stressful events, both positive and negative, all of which are assigned a numerical value of “life-changing units.” For example, marriage, the basis for comparison, was assigned 50 life-changing units. Some other events on the scale include the death of a spouse, which has a value of 100 life-changing units, being fired (47), and revision of personal habits (24).  Phase One For those that are displaying high values, we will develop courses of action to assist with making transition more comfortable via:  first and foremost, encouraging time to grieve, providing classes, encouraging physical exercise, encouraging opening up to others who are in the same situation by joining our support life consulting group, developing coping mechanisms, visualization (imagining- “imago”), vision boarding and opening up to new ideas that are interesting.  We also address physical health concerns that are maybe or has become obstacles. Phase Two (Fun Phase) Often times we will find if we take the focus off of ourselves and step into someone else’s shoes, just for a minute, our challenges are minute in comparison.  In this phase, we encourage willing readers/participants to open their hearts a different kind of exercise.  It’s not role playing.  The reader opens her mind and heart to the stories of the characters in my book.  Again, by taking the focus off oneself, not only does this phase is designed to observe another person’s challenges but it is designed relax the client and allow divine intervention.Seasons Change and So Do We -  fiction and is animated, which we know that laughing is medicine to the soul.  There is a nice balance of life challenges and humor. 6.  Spiritual Strategic PlanningLearning requires us to keep perfecting the feedback, listening loop that fuels our learning.  Proverbs 1:5 states, let the wise listen and add their learning, and let the discerning get guidance.  How hungry are you to not stay where you are?  Many entrepreneurs today ask the wrong question when they begin their strategic thinking and planning. Entrepreneurs that operate by asking, “What do you think we should do?” They end up in a different place than entrepreneurs who ask,“What does God think I should do?” In order to receive prosperity, entrepreneurs must learn to think and always operate in a spiritual rather than just a “natural” or human way. Building a spiritual learning mindset, a following and spiritual strategic planning go hand in hand. In Habakkuk 2, the Lord is communicating His plans to the prophet and instructs him, “Write the revelation [vision] down and make it plain on tablets so that those who read it may run with it...if it lingers, wait for it. It will come...but the righteous will live by faith” (Hab 2:2-4). From this passage, we are given some basic lessons about what we call “spiritual strategic planning.”• You must write your vision down.• You must make it plain to read.• If you make it plain to read, people can run with it.• In vision and planning, timing is everything.• You must wait for your vision to emerge.These are the eight spiritual strategic planning questions we will use to develop our strategic plan: Mission and Purpose Who are We?

Make Friends With Your Problems

Ow!  I know I am going to keep some folks and I am going to lose some folks with the topic alone.  It's okay.  I would look at the topic crazy too if I didn't know what I know.  As a matter of fact, I am feeling some type of way about sharing the message now because some of ya'll wont stick around to get it as well.  I promise eventually you will have an Aha moment.  Here goes.

It took me many many years to understand that I must make friends with my problems.  What I had been doing was resisting.  Which was like a fish traveling upstream against the current.  Imagine what that looks like.  Not a pretty picture.  Many of us are still traveling upstream against the current. Another way to look at is if your are a runner, you know there are many hills you must run up in order to get to the decline of that hill.  Once you get to the decline, you relax even more into the decline.  What an enjoyable feeling.  I've seen folks in pain going down hill.  I'm like what the what.  Down hill is the magic moment.  All you have to do is give in to it.  Make friends with it.  Oh how I miss running.  I digress....
