Do You See Yourself

I caught this phenomenal message today from a very phenomenal woman, Tamika Sims.  I just had to share and add it to my blog...just had to.  Here is why, I think it's one of the most profound questions and testimonies I've come across in a long time. I will answer the question at a later date once I give it more thought.  As for now, I would ask you to read her post below.  If you feel compelled to also self reflect, please do so.

Check it out ya'll...........................................................

Recently, I was engaged in a conversation about seeing myself. I said, of course I see myself. I know who I am and I know my faults, and flaws. I became defensive - even dismissing the subject. I read an e-mail today from a listserv and the subject matter was seeing ourselves.
So, here's the good, bad and ugly of me:
1. I can sometimes have selfish tendencies. I am a person that gives, nurtures and supports others, but at times, I can be selfish. ...
2. I am very independent. I tend to do things often without a second thought. I am an action-taker and a producer and if I have to ask someone multiple times I will do it myself.
3. My mouth gets the best of me.
4. Sometimes, I go too far.

Here's what I know about God:
1. His grace is sufficient, because His strength is made perfect in my weakness.
2. God's love covers.
Yet, this does not exempt me from doing my part, neither does it negate the internal work that I must allow Him to do. Acknowledging the truth about ourselves will always be key. It was difficult to have this conversation, but necessary for my continual growth. I am a work in progress and have no problems admitting that I ain't perfect.
We all need a mirror. Who's yours?
